On the afternoon of June 3, 2024, a notable ceremony took place in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province. This event marked the conclusion of phase 1 of the sustainable livelihood program for the poor in the district.
Under the program, a total of 416,000 seedlings were distributed to 326 poor households across 7 communes in Vi Xuyen district. Additionally, each household received 1 million VND to develop sustainable livelihood models, enabling them to improve their living standards and rise out of poverty.
Notably, the program also paid special tribute to 11 families of war invalids and martyrs by presenting them with meaningful gifts. Furthermore, 96 poor households in Thanh Thuy commune benefited from a “zero-dong” market with a total value of 150 million VND.
The ceremony was attended by Party committees, the communal government of Thanh Thuy, the Standing Committee of Vi Xuyen District Youth Union, the Vi Xuyen Youth Association, and relevant departments. This demonstrates the clear coordination and support of the local government and community for this program.
On behalf of the individuals involved in implementing the program, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Grandmaster Thượng Huyền Hạ Diệu, members of the Phuoc Dien Buddhist group, the Mam Xanh group, the Tram Huong Lac Viet group, and all the friends who have continuously supported and accompanied us throughout the implementation of this meaningful program.
