On May 12th, 2024, E4HC embarked on a comprehensive initiative to address the dual challenges of environmental degradation and economic disparity in Vi Xuyen District, Vietnam. Driven by the ambitious goal of planting 1 million trees, this multifaceted program sought to create sustainable livelihoods for the impoverished while also safeguarding the local ecosystem and bolstering the community’s resilience against the mounting threats posed by climate change.

Partnering with the Vi Xuyen District People’s Committee, the Youth Union, and local authorities, E4HC distributed 50,000 cinnamon tree seedlings to residents of Dao Duc Commune. Beyond the provision of these valuable saplings, the organization also delivered essential care packages to support the long-term success of this environmental restoration effort, ensuring that the local community had the necessary resources to nurture the newly planted trees.
The program’s remarkable success was enabled by the generous support of a diverse array of sponsors, including the Phuoc Dien Group, Mam Xanh Group, CT107 Group, and members of the local Buddhist community. These stakeholders demonstrated a shared commitment to addressing the pressing challenges faced by the region, aligning their contributions to amplify the initiative’s transformative impact.
As the global climate crisis continues to escalate, initiatives like this stand as beacons of hope, showcasing the power of collaborative action to create a more sustainable and equitable future. By empowering vulnerable populations while also restoring critical ecosystems, E4HC has set a precedent for community-driven environmental stewardship that can be replicated across Vietnam and beyond.
